Our Services
DOTS Disability is a Community Interest Company, established in 2007 by disabled people, older people and carers. We are the social enterprise arm of the charity Access Dorset. We provide access to consultation with disabled people from across the impairment groups, training and Occupational Therapy services. All of our work is informed by the Social Model of Disability.
As a ‘user-led’ organisation a minimum of 75% of our Directors are disabled people. As a social enterprise, all of our profits and assets are used to support disabled people
This OCN accredited course provides competence and confidence to enable staff to assess for, prescribe and install (simple aids of daily living) equipment. As we as ‘in person’ training at our venue or yours, we also offer a one day ‘live training’ via TEAMS with one of our consultant OT trainers. Providing TAT since 2012. The training incorporates PPT, videos and break out exercises. Delegates will receive a personal portfolio of their work and certification. Level 3 will need you to submit a case study, Trusted technician training is also available, enquire for details.
